  • On arriving at Cambrils dels Pirineus in El Solsonès, visitors will discover a rural setting with isolated farm houses and churches which are scattered across a truly wild and mystic landscape that has given rise to numerous legends about witches and mythical beings and places. Such places include the forat de la grallera (crow’s hole) and the pla de Marcús (Marcús plain), which used to be passing and hiding places for smugglers in times past. It is now possible to visit what used to be a mountain salt mine and to discover the ingenious system used to take advantage of fresh and salt water. Along the way, visitors will come across the Romanesque churches of Llena and Timoneda. They can cross the salty river via the Pont del Clop (Clop bridge) and should then stop at the Serra Seca observation point and admire the white montserratina (little Montserrat formations) rocks. Would you like to come and visit the area?
